The government of Finland has announced the establishment of Neurocenter Finland as one of its key projects.
The University of Eastern Finland (UEF) manages the cooperation network and the preparatory phase. UEF has convened a steering group for the preparatory phase, whose key task is to plan organizational structures as well as activities.
Research in neurosciences has a solid foundation in Finland. Finnish researchers and research groups as well as health care personnel are renowned for their reliable and high-caliber work.
Neurocenter Finland is a one-stop shop for research in neurosciences and product development. It facilitates innovations and development of new personalized healthcare.
One of the key objectives is to create a structure of collaboration and platform for researchers and other stakeholders. Furthermore, it makes relevant information in neurosciences conveniently available.
Through identifying synergies and rethinking the distribution of resources – in expertise and technology alike – Neurocenter’s topmost objective is to find cures for nervous system diseases at a faster and more efficient pace.
