We cordially welcome you to the Kuopio Epilepsy Symposium!
On behalf of the Finnish Epilepsy Society and the Pediatric Neurology Association, we cordially welcome you to participate in the Kuopio Epilepsy Symposium, which will take place on March 26 – 27, 2020 in Kuopio Music Centre, Kuopio, Finland.
The symposium will be the 9th in a series of epilepsy meetings organised jointly by the Finnish Epilepsy Society, the Finnish Association of Pediatric Neurology, the Finnish Epilepsy Association, the Department of Neurology (University of Eastern Finland) and Neurocenter (Kuopio University Hospital), an EpiCARE ERN member.
We hope to bring together people working in the different fields of epileptology and to update our understanding especially of rare and complex epilepsies. In addition, the symposium serves as the kick-off of the YES-ILAE-Finland activity for young doctors and researchers. We will be holding an abstract competition.

Call for Abstracts
The organizing committee of the Kuopio Epilepsy Symposium 2020 invites abstracts of original contribution. Four abstracts will be selected for oral presentations and other contributions will be presented as posters. All abstracts will be published on the Kuopio Epilepsy Symposium website. Four best contributions (either oral or poster) will be awarded a Vaajasalo Foundation grant.
The deadline for abstracts is February 15, 2020 and the maximum length is 250 words. The abstract should contain the title, authors and affiliations, and the text should be divided by subtitles: rationale, methods, results and conclusions. The submitting author will be notified of acceptance and the presentation format by email latest by February 29, 2020.
