UEF: 9th Alzheimer Symposium and 3rd Nordic Memory Clinic Conference – NMCC

From genetics to personalized medicine, biomarkers, prevention, and therapies in Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases

Welcome

We are delighted to inform that University of Eastern Finland is organizing the 9th Alzheimer Symposium on August 23-25, 2022 in Kuopio, Finland together with the 3rd Nordic Memory Clinic Conference – NMCC.

The first Kuopio Alzheimer’s Disease Symposium was organized in 1999 and the last one in 2018. Each Kuopio Alzheimer Symposium has had a very interesting and rich program, and the speakers have been internationally acknowledged and respected leading experts on dementia research and care. The Kuopio Alzheimer Symposia have attracted every time on average 300 participants, who are PhD or MD-level researchers, clinicians, health care personnel, and students from Finland, other Nordic countries, and around the world. The symposium programs have been highly appreciated by the attendees.

This time, we are expecting an even higher number of congress participants to Kuopio since the 9th Alzheimer Symposium will be organized in parallel with the 3rd Nordic Memory Clinic Conference.

The forthcoming 9th Alzheimer Symposium and 3rd Nordic Memory Clinic Conference will continue the tradition of the previous symposia by focusing on the existing and emerging concepts in neurodegeneration and genetic and personalized medicine in Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases. In addition, prediction of Alzheimer’s disease, update on biomarker studies, new progresses in co-morbidities related to Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases, clinical advances in prevention and therapy, and new insights from clinical and intervention studies will be covered.

The 9th Kuopio Alzheimer Symposium is organized by University of Eastern Finland, Institute of Clinical Medicine, Neurology, Institute of Biomedicine, and A.I. Virtanen Institute for Molecular Sciences.

We are committed to do our best in organizing a safe and happy reunion of the neuroscience community. A possibility to attend virtually in addition to onsite attendance will be offered.

Registration is open until August 1, 2022.
